Job summary

The Language Business in Chester is seeking a Tax Manager for the EMEA region. This hybrid role sits in a global, high-growth environment, owning European direct tax, US GAAP reporting, transfer pricing and UK tax governance.

You will collaborate with local finance teams and external advisers to keep tax processes compliant and efficient. Fluent English is required; other European languages are a bonus.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required; other European languages are a plus.
• Qualified accountant and/or chartered tax adviser (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong grounding in tax accounting, tax provisioning and statutory audit support.
• Experience managing external advisers is helpful.
• Ability to translate complex tax issues for non-tax stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage full direct tax cycle for the EMEA markets with local advisers.
• Prepare and submit US GAAP tax reporting, including quarterly provisions using TaxStream.
• Oversee UK requirements including SAO, Tax Strategy publication and Corporate Criminal Offence.
• Advise stakeholders on tax matters and build trusted relationships.
• Contribute to COE strategy on standardisation, automation and improvement.
• Monitor market developments and communicate impacts to relevant teams.
