A global service provider in Glasgow is seeking a Manager, EMEA Tax to oversee tax compliance and provision matters. This role requires an ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification and extensive experience in tax within multinational companies. You will collaborate with internal teams and manage corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with both local and global standards. Qualifications

  • Multiple years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or multi-national company.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.

About the Opportunity

The Manager, EMEA Tax will report to the Director, EMEA Tax, and will be responsible for assisting with Amentum's UK and EMEA tax compliance and provision matters. This individual contributor role will be instrumental in furthering Amentum's best-in-class tax function and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an extremely dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing the preparation of all required corporate income tax returns and associated calculations/workpapers in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for overseeing the preparation of all required VAT tax returns in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Assist with quarterly and year end tax provision workings, both for local country financial statement preparation and the global US GAAP audited financial statement.
  • Assist with calculating and making corporate income tax and VAT payments, and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Supporting the US and European input into the US and Global Consolidated tax provision process.
  • Work closely with Finance/Accounting teams of tax related matters for statutory financial statement filings and audit.
  • Manage Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and SOX compliance and procedures.
  • Understand systems requirements related to income tax and VAT; monitor changes.
  • Assisting with Amentum's UK Research and Expenditure Credit.
  • Work with and provide tax support to internal stakeholders, including Legal, Business Development, Contracts, and the US-based tax team.
