The Head of Sales Engineering - EMEA will be a highly technical live-streaming domain expert who can represent our products to customers, understand their needs, and propose solutions that work. They will be skilled at building customer relationships and becoming their trusted technical advisor. They will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and managing a small but growing team of Solutions engineers in Europe. This role will contribute to the direction of the product by gathering information from customers to make the product more developer-friendly and meet the needs of their business. The role will be part of the Dolby Cloud Business group GTM team.

Responsibilities
  • Hiring, mentoring and managing a team of Solution Architects
  • Operating as both a manager and as a Solutions Architect directly with our top customers
  • Representing our product capabilities to our customer prospects
  • Create and showcase demos to prospective customers
  • Understanding and documenting customer needs
  • Developing solutions with our customers
  • Working with customers to build proof of concepts of solutions and then working with them when they deploy those solutions
  • Collect requirements for new features and champion them internally throughout the design and implementation process.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
  • 5+ Years of Experience.
  • Experience running a Solutions Engineering team
  • Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, React, Swift, Objective-C, or Java
  • Video streaming knowledge (streaming technologies, codecs, networking)
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud architectures. Demonstratable understanding of how people build services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong presentation, communication,organization, and time management skills.
Highly desirable
  • WebRTC and/or Media Over QUIC experience
