Job summary

A leading financial services firm is seeking an Associate in Global Government Relations to engage with policymakers across EMEA. In this role, you will monitor political developments, provide critical insights to leadership, and implement advocacy strategies. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a relevant degree, and experience in government or regulatory affairs. This position is based in London and offers a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex policy issues concisely.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.

  • Familiarity with EU, UK, and EU Member States political processes, as well as other international institutions.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with competing projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor EU and UK political, policy, and regulatory developments impacting the business.
  • Provide senior leadership with timely information about emerging political issues.
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies on policy proposals.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders for advocacy.
  • Represent the firm at meetings with government officials.
  • Contribute to trade associations and liaise with counterparts.
  • Prepare presentations and briefings for senior management.
