Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, self-directed EMEA Event Manager to develop and grow the cloud computing businesses in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

The EMEA Event Manager role is responsible for developing, improving, executing, and measuring impactful B2B event programs. This is a fixed-term contract for 14 months (maternity cover). This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an industry-leading technology business.

Key tasks include:

1. Own end-to-end event projects, including strategy, goal setting, budget management, agency management, project planning, stakeholder management, delivery, result tracking, and debriefs.
2. Drive enablement, scale, and process improvements for AWS presence at third-party events across EMEA, including those with a strong AI focus.
3. Develop the overall event strategy for AWS at third-party events in EMEA, aligning with global and local stakeholders.
4. Utilize data and customer feedback to continuously improve event programs and customer experience.
5. Deliver results with clear ROI reporting.
6. Innovate and think proactively about future opportunities.

The role can be based in Munich, Amsterdam, or London.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) focuses on driving revenue, adoption, and growth across various customer segments. The EMEA Events & Sponsorship Team is a dynamic group responsible for delivering strategic event planning, enablement, and execution for AWS and third-party trade shows. We prioritize customer-centric innovation, teamwork, and fun.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in an event-related role
• Proven success in developing and executing B2B event programs end-to-end
• Experience in enhancing brand presence at large B2B trade shows
• Ability to support and scale event initiatives through enablement support
• Strong communication skills
• Innovative mindset with problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Experience working with cross-functional and international teams
• Data-driven approach to measuring impact and improvements
• Willingness to travel and ability to work independently across time zones

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
