Job summary

Nomura is seeking an EMEA Head of Equities Product Control in London to lead the equity product control function across the region. The role requires deep knowledge of equity products, strong governance, and interaction with trading, risk, IT and finance teams.

You will manage P&L and balance sheet reporting, oversee new product reviews, and drive control improvements while mentoring a London team and offshore colleagues. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive equity product control experience.
• Strong stakeholder management with trading heads and CFO.
• Proven people management across multi-location teams.
• Ability to manage time-critical matters and projects.
• Strong communication across regions and departments.
• Detail-oriented with analytical capability.
• Track record of improving controls and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily trading P/L and balance sheet reporting with commentary.
• Challenge business performance and resource deployment.
• Coordinate Finance reviews for new products and transactions.
• Own relationships and validate P/L recognition and reserves.
• Assess financial resources for new transactions (capital, balance sheet, leverage).
• Manage stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Operations and IT.
• Monitor controls and ensure policy adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement of control environment.
• Represent Finance on firm-wide projects.
• Lead two senior London reportees with a team of offshore.
