Howett Thorpe seeks an Accounting Manager (FTC) to own the general ledger and strengthen financial controls across its EMEA operations, based in Staines. You will lead revenue recognition, POC accounting and balance sheet integrity, reporting under US GAAP, and partner with Project Managers and Billing teams.

You will oversee payroll and overhead allocations, enable robust month-end and year-end closes, and contribute to the finance function’s transition from Sage to Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Formación

• US GAAP knowledge and practical application.
• Experience in revenue recognition and POC accounting.
• Proficiency with general ledger ownership and balance sheet integrity.
• Ability to interpret data, identify inconsistencies and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with notional controls and project accounting processes.
• Adept at cross-functional collaboration with Project Managers and Billing teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own the general ledger and post journals.
• Lead revenue accounting including POC calculations and project data.
• Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Account for payroll and overhead costs with accurate allocations.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting to US GAAP standards.
• Manage currency accounting and conversions across regions.
• Trace data from operations to accounting records and close gaps.
• Challenge project and accounts data to improve accuracy and accountability.
• Drive improvements to accounting processes and data controls.
• Support transition from Sage to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
