A leading EAP and OH provider in Manchester is looking for an exceptional counselling professional to join their team in a hybrid role. You will maintain a caseload of structured video counselling sessions, provide immediate support through a 24/7 helpline, and work with clients requiring various levels of psychological intervention. The ideal candidate must have BACP accreditation or be working towards it, possess CBT or EMDR training, and demonstrate strong computer literacy. Qualifications

  • BACP accreditation or in progress required.

  • Relevant telephone or EAP experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active caseload of clients for video counselling.
  • Manage high intensity counselling cases needing advanced intervention.
  • Provide support through a 24/7 helpline and perform clinical assessments.
  • Conduct risk assessments and adhere to BACP ethics.

Role

Hybrid – Manchester office. Full‑time.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively maintain an active caseload of structured video counselling sessions, utilising a Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach.
  • Maintain an active caseload of Digital CBT clients, including Digital Trauma Programme.
  • On request, manage a caseload of high intensity counselling cases via video – working with those who require a higher level of psychological intervention such as CBT or EMDR.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with a variety of individuals and presenting issues, including those who are distressed, at risk or where child and adult safeguarding concerns are identified.
  • Provide immediate emotional support and guidance to callers via our 24/7 helpline – completing clinical assessments and signposting appropriately.
  • Conduct risk assessments and work in line with the BACP code of ethics – ensuring the highest level of service and support is provided.
Qualifications
  • Be BACP accredited or working towards accreditation.
  • Be trained in CBT or EMDR or be completing relevant higher‑level qualifications.
  • Have relevant telephone experience and/or EAP experience.
  • Possess a high level of computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
