Job summary
Inductosense in Bristol is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to help develop our ultrasonic sensing products across embedded firmware, electronics design and product integration. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering reliable industrial devices for energy, infrastructure and process automation.
This hands-on role spans concept through to production, with training for ATEX/IECEx awareness. You will collaborate with firmware, hardware, software and manufacturing engineers to solve
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of commercial engineering experience.
- Strong embedded C programming skills.
- Experience debugging embedded hardware and firmware.
- Understanding I2C, SPI and UART digital protocols.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Proficient with Git and Jira for version control and issue tracking.
- Familiarity with IEC/EMC standards; ATEX/IECEx exposure preferred.
Responsibilities
- Embedded firmware development for low‑power microcontroller platforms.
- Electronics design, debugging and prototype bring‑up.
- Hardware‑software integration and testing.
- Product verification, validation and compliance support.
- Manufacturing support and DFM/DFT improvements.
- Documentation and risk assessment contributions.
