EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER- ROTHERWAS, HEREFORD

Based at our R&D facility at Rotherwas, an opportunity has arisen for an Embedded Software Engineer to join the design team working on a range of state-of-the–art search and rescue products for the aviation industry.

Requisite capabilities / experience:
  • Degree / HNC qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Software design for embedded systems
  • C language for PIC microprocessors or ARM processors
  • Communication interfaces (RS232 RS485 USB Ethernet etc)
  • Software Design for PC (C#) Visual Studio
  • Use of laboratory equipment
  • Design for Manufacture; Design for Test
Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of Software / Hardware specification documentation
  • Design of Software / Hardware for embedded control systems
  • Design of Windows interface control software
  • System test and debugging
  • Support for existing products

Additional Details:
  • Full time position.
  • Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 7:45am to 4.15pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening, or bank holiday working.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Free internal training provided as required.
  • Opportunities to progress, promote internally and up skill.
  • Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
