A leading defence organization in the UK seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to develop real-time software for missile systems. The role entails participation in all stages of the software life cycle within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should have a strong command of C or C++ programming and proven experience in hard real-time embedded development. The position offers a hybrid working model and competitive salary, with additional benefits including a company bonus and flexible leave.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced embedded software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of current and future seeker systems!
Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4 to 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
Seeker software is a complex real-time sub-component of a Missile, responsible for consuming data from a variety of advanced sensors and interfacing to other sub-equipment on-board a missile.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (hardware/software/firmware) with state-of-the-art technology you will be at the forefront of missile system design. The role involves the full life cycle development, in Agile/SCRUM working environment where quality and accuracy of work is essential!
