Job summary

Rednal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for a specialist instrumentation manufacturer in the Greater London area. You will design, develop and maintain embedded software for next-generation systems and work onsite at a modern development facility.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with the full software development lifecycle. Desirable: Linux, FreeRTOS, Verilog/VHDL, AVR/SAM MCUs, and Microchip Studio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' embedded software engineering experience
• Degree in CS, Software Eng, Physics, Electronics or related discipline

Our client is a specialist manufacturer of scientific instrumentation for a global market. Working within an experienced and highly skilled engineering design team we are seeking an additional Embedded Software Engineer. The role will be to design, develop and maintain Embedded Software for the next generation of systems. You will be working onsite at our client's modern and well-equipped development facility.

Skills sought will include:

• C, C++
• Demonstrable experience in designing and building software systems
• Experience in developing Embedded Software using C and/or C++
• understanding of full software development lifecycle (UML)
• understanding and appreciation of code version control
• ability to write and review technical documents

Additional, desirable experience:

• Verilog for FPGA's, VHDL
• Linux
• Embedded real time operating systems FreeRTOS
• AVR and SAM Mirocontrollers
• Microchip Studio IDE
