Job summary

Oriole in Greater London is seeking Software Engineers to develop embedded and host software to manage and monitor our high‑speed network, connecting GPU systems to our photonics. You will contribute to software architecture definitions for embedded and host components.

The role involves debugging and benchmarking on prototype hardware, collaborating with hardware designers, and delivering detailed technical documentation and presentations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded development experience, preferably with ARM
• Experience with soft processors (Nios, Microblaze, RISC-V)
• Linux kernel and user-space development
• CI/CD and DevOps workflows
• Proficient in C, C++, and Python
• Experience collaborating with prototype hardware teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or a related field

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture with the broader team
• Develop embedded software for the network interface card
• Build network control and monitoring server and client components
• Debug and root-cause issues on prototype hardware
• Prepare technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
