Job summary

Bragi is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to prototype, integrate and develop drivers for Qualcomm-based SoCs in audio devices. This remote role (Munich office optional) is fixed-term for 1 year.

You will work on embedded C, hardware configurations and testing for TWS earbuds, headsets and speakers. Requirements include 5+ years in embedded engineering, strong C skills, Bluetooth SoC experience (QCC51/309/71), sensor interfacing, and a collaborative, Agile mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as an Embedded Engineer.
• Strong C coding skills for embedded systems.
• Experience in design, development and debugging low-level software on embedded targets.
• Worked with QCOMM bluetooth SoCs: QCC51, QCC309, QCC71.
• Familiar with ADK (SDK) updates.
• Knowledge of SPI, UART, I2C and USB interfaces.
• Experience reading sensor datasheets and implementing drivers.
• Hardware familiarity: oscilloscopes, power measurement equipment.

Embedded Firmware Engineer - Qualcomm SoC

This is a remote role but you are welcome to join us at our Munich office. This role is limited to fixed term for 1 year.

What you'll be working on

• Prototyping, integration and development of drivers and components in embedded C for customer audio projects (TWS Earbuds, matching charger cases, Headsets, Speakers) according to the product requirements based on the various SoCs, primarily focused on Qualcomm platforms, specifically the S7 platform
• Hardware/SW configurations and measurements during prototyping and pre-production
• Developing unit, integration and automation tests to verify software integrity using AI and analysis tools for developement, review and validation to check for potential issues in our codebase

What you’ll need

• 5+ years experience as an Embedded Engineer
• Strong C coding skills, in particular for embedded systems
• Experience in design, development and debugging low-level software on embedded targets
• Worked with some or more of the following QCOMM bluetooth SoCs:QCC51**, QCC309*, QCC71**
• Familiar with performing ADK (SDK) updates
• Knowledge of common peripheral interfaces like SPI, UART, I2C and USB
• Experience in reading sensor datasheets and implementing drivers
• Hardware familiarity (logic-analyzers, oscilloscopes and power measurement equipment)
• Willingness to work in dynamic agile teams according to a Scrum or KanBan workflow
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Strong plus

• Experience with QCC S7
• Experience with Bluetooth, Wifi or other wireless communications protocols
• Experience with development on battery driven devices (memory & power constrained devices)
• Prior experience working with mobile developers
• Experience with production processes and support
• Experience with STM processes
• Experience with charging topologies
