Reports to: Head of Brand
Location: Remote (Scotland-based)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About Us

The TEFL Org is the leading provider of accredited TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification courses. With a global presence and a commitment to excellence, we empower individuals to teach English and make a positive impact on communities worldwide. We are an Employee Ownership Trust.

Role Overview

The Email Marketing Executive will be responsible for delivering high-performing, data-led email campaigns that nurture leads, engage customers, and drive conversions across The TEFL Org’s global markets. This is a hands‑on, creative, and analytical role that combines copywriting, design coordination, and automation. You’ll manage end-to-end campaign delivery in Klaviyo (and related tools), ensuring every send is on‑brand, targeted, and optimised for engagement and revenue. Working closely with the wider marketing and customer experience teams, you’ll play a key part in building meaningful, long‑term relationships with our audience. While this is a fully remote role, we are only considering candidates based in Scotland. The Brand & Content team are located in Scotland’s Central Belt and meet in person regularly, so proximity is important for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, build, and deliver email marketing campaigns to support brand, acquisition, and retention goals. Manage the email content calendar in alignment with promotions, new courses, and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with the design and content teams to produce visually engaging, mobile‑optimised templates. Write and proof compelling subject lines, body copy, and CTAs that match audience intent and campaign tone.
  • Build and maintain automated email flows for lead nurturing, onboarding, and post‑course engagement. Use segmentation, behavioural data, and engagement metrics to tailor content to different audience groups.
  • Monitor deliverability and list hygiene, managing audience growth and unsubscribes in compliance with GDPR.
  • Track, analyse, and report on email performance, including open rates, CTR, conversion, and revenue contribution. Run A/B tests to continually optimise subject lines, creative, and send times.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Campaign Manager to integrate learnings into broader campaign planning. Share insights regularly with key stakeholders to inform strategy and creative direction.
Key Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in email or CRM marketing, ideally in e‑commerce, education, or digital services. Proven experience using Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar ESP.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, automation, and lifecycle marketing. Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Confident analysing campaign data and applying insights to optimise performance. Understanding of GDPR and email marketing compliance requirements.
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills desirable but not essential.
