Job summary

Springer Nature is seeking a Commissioning Editor to research, commission and oversee ELT print and digital content from concept through handover to delivery, with close collaboration to markets and brand teams. The role supports development of strong concepts that showcase customer value and requires coordination with editors, authors and external packagers.

The position is permanent, based in London or Madrid with a hybrid model, and reports to the Portfolio Senior Commissioning Editor.

Qualifications

• Solid ELT publishing experience at project leadership level.
• Excellent written English and ability to communicate across functions.
• Understanding of ELT markets, especially Spain and global markets.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
• Experience with content development and coordination with authors and editors.
• Familiarity with content management systems and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Research, commission and oversee development of ELT content from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with global/local brand teams to support CVP concepts.
• Brief authors/contributors and manage external packagers to meet schedules and budgets.
• Mentor development editors within a matrix management structure.
• Oversee contracts and relationships with authors, editors and suppliers.
• Support digital product development aligned with segment needs.
