Newcastle United Women Academy is seeking an Academy Physical Performance Lead to design and deliver evidence-informed development programmes for youth players. You will advance physical performance, support long-term athletic development and reduce injury risk across the Academy, working with coaches, medical staff and a wide multidisciplinary team.

Competenze

• BSc in Strength & Conditioning, Sport Science or related discipline.
• UKSCA accreditation or working towards accreditation.
• Strong understanding of long-term athletic development.
• Experience delivering physical development programmes in women’s sport.
• Experience in high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and motivation skills.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Reflective mindset with commitment to CPD.

• Design, deliver and review strength and conditioning programmes aligned to NUW Performance Plan.
• Conduct physical testing and monitor progression to inform development plans.
• Support rehab, return-to-play and injury prevention with the MDT.
• Provide physical performance support during training and matchdays.
• Maintain player records and performance databases to professional standards.
• Educate coaches to integrate physical development into technical programmes.
• Deliver player education on nutrition, recovery and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Maintain and develop performance monitoring systems and equipment.
• Contribute to departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
