Job summary

A leading environmental services company based in Grays is looking for a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will manage electrical maintenance operations, ensuring maximum facility throughput and productivity. Responsibilities include hands-on electrical repair, planning maintenance activities, and overseeing technician workflows. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 electrical engineering qualification and experience with material handling equipment. Qualifications

  • Level 3 electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Proven high-level experience with material handling equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulics.
  • Analytical investigation skills to resolve engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical maintenance operations ensuring maximum facility throughput.
  • Provide hands-on electrical support including fault finding and repair.
  • Manage workflow between shifts and supervise technicians during breakdowns.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
