Job summary

An electronics test engineer is needed near Exeter, Devon to join a production team at a specialist electronics manufacturer. You will be hands-on with testing, fault finding, repairs and firmware updates, reading circuit diagrams and supporting quality and output.

The role is site-based, permanent, with a salary of £30,000–£40,000 per year. Ideal candidate has experience in electronics testing, fault finding and a meticulous approach to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics testing, fault finding or similar engineering environments.
• Good understanding of electronic circuits and ability to read diagrams.
• Experience with component-level fault finding would be beneficial.
• Meticulous, reliable approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Test and fault-find electronic products through production and final test.
• Read circuit diagrams and diagnose faults down to component level.
• Carry out repairs, testing, and firmware or settings updates where required.
• Support the wider production and test team to maintain quality and output.
