LOCATION: Travelling to sites in the London and Oxford area (with occasional travel across the UK)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electronics Technician / Service Engineer with solid electro-mechanical and diagnostic skills and previous experience working on instrumentation.

As an Electronics Technician / Service Engineer you will visit customer sites to service, repair and calibrate a variety of technical instruments across research, academic and healthcare environments.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Electronics Technician / Service Engineer include:

  • Servicing and Repairing: Provide maintenance and repair support for a range of electro‑mechanical and electronic instrumentation
  • Calibration: Carry out calibration work on customer instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Diagnostics: Perform fault finding and diagnostics on electronic systems and equipment
  • Customer Visits: Travel to university, hospital and research lab sites to deliver on‑site services
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service work, calibration results and parts used
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with new equipment and evolving service standards

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working on instrumentation or similar electronic systems
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
  • Recognised electronics qualification (or equivalent experience) with good mechanical ability
  • Computer literate and comfortable using digital tools for diagnostics and reporting
  • Enthusiastic, with a desire to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Organised with good time management and communication skills
