NEW ELECTRONICS EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN IN BEDFORD

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Bedford, is seeking an experienced Electronics Equipment Technician to join their Equipment Engineering team. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing advanced electronic processing machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The position involves hands-on mechanical strip-downs, complex fault-finding, and lead repair activities, working closely with engineers, operators, and suppliers to maximise equipment uptime and drive efficiency across high-precision fabrication processes.

Responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to diagnose and repair PCBs at a component level.
  • Provide guidance to technician-level personnel and support Manufacturing Shift Leaders.
  • Experience in 6S / Kaizen methodologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to document processes and procedures to ensure information is retained and shared.
  • To carry out mechanical set up and maintenance tasks.
