Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to support silicon wafer processing equipment, packaging and testing. You will lead installations, implement improvements and resolve complex equipment issues in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role covers gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical and electronics, requires cleanroom gowning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in electronics.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary electronics role.
• Cleanroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond rapidly to equipment issues using electronics knowledge; provide timely repairs and updates to production teams.
• Lead cross-functional Teledyne and external engineers; record actions and minutes for complex issues.
• Perform complex preventive maintenance ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
• Undertake project work including installing new equipment and modifications; provide documentation and training.
• Produce all risk assessments for equipment and contractor method statements and permits to work.
