Job summary

XP Power LLC in Reading, United Kingdom is seeking an Electronics Engineer to own the complete design lifecycle of power electronics, from schematic capture to production transfer. You will integrate AC/DC and DC/DC supplies, define power architectures, and ensure EMC and thermal performance across systems.

You will troubleshoot, prototype, and collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and systems teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions with thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Strong analogue and digital electronics background
• Experience integrating AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies
• Experience delivering designs from concept to manufacturing
• Practical signal interfacing, control, and measurement skills
• Familiarity with PMBus/CANopen/MODbus/SCPI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for full electronic design lifecycle: schematic, PCB layouts, prototyping, verification, and transfer to manufacturing
• Integrate AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies into system-level applications
• Define power architectures including distribution, grounding, and interfacing
• Interface with digital control systems for power management and monitoring
• Support EMC testing, thermal management, and compliance activities
• Produce technical documentation and support DFx, testing, and production issues
