There is real design content from early on, contributing to subsystems such as power generation and distribution, navigation and sensor interfaces, and the boards behind them. Graduates are given design ownership early, with support from senior engineers, and split their time between design work, the lab and test activity. Work goes from bench to aircraft quickly, so feedback is immediate.
