Overview

A leading organisation in the technology sector is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their innovative team. This role involves working on electronic and electrical circuit designs for new product development projects, including the creation of schematic designs and PCB layout design. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise and creativity to drive the development of cutting-edge products.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Design PCBs for integration into new and existing systems, including various communication devices and control modules.
  • Select components for circuit designs and maintain accurate records.
  • Set up long-term testing of new products, continually evaluating performance and capability.
  • Train Commissioning Engineers on products and manage product testing and fault finding.
  • Design electronics to comply with product-specific regulations and standards, such as EMC and LVD.
  • Manage the access to applications for clients and liaise with software developers on improvements.
  • Organise and manage prototypes, ensuring master samples are logged and labelled for all new product development designs.
  • Full management of the R&D lab, including organisation of samples and new product project boxes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including PCB schematics, layout designs, and test reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering.
  • Proven experience in designing and testing electronic circuits, ideally within lighting control systems or similar fields.
  • Proficiency in creating PCB schematics, selecting components, and ensuring proper layout design.
  • Experience in product testing, fault finding, and debugging to ensure quality standards.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as EMC and LVD.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and collaboration.
  • Creativity, innovation, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
