Job summary

Carl Zeiss Vision Canada Inc. in Cambridge, UK, seeks an Electronics Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic systems for next‑generation microscopy platforms.

You will own designs from concept through verification, compliance, and product release, collaborating with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing and supplier teams. The role covers analogue, digital and mixed‑signal electronics, precision measurement and high‑voltage circuits, embedded hardware, and control

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in electronics design and product development.
• Proven analogue and digital circuit experience.
• Strong schematic/PCB design skills and MCUs experience.
• Solid troubleshooting, verification, and testing abilities.
• Understanding of DFM/DFT; good documentation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware architectures.
• Select components and manage hardware lifecycle.
• Support simulation, prototyping, bring‑up, verification and validation.
• Perform debugging, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with EMC, safety, RoHS, and related standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in NPI and manufacturing transfer.
