Job summary

Reed in Cheltenham is seeking an Assembly Technician for a permanent, full-time role. You will build, assemble and document products across an innovative range, performing soldering to IPC standards, reading wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings, and operating in an Electrostatic Protected Area with strict health and safety practices.

Ideal candidates will have soldering and assembly experience, PC literacy, strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workloads, and a full UK driving

Qualifications

• Soldering experience required.
• Assembly experience essential.
• Proficient with PCs and basic software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out soldering to IPC standards.
• Identify a wide range of electronic components (e.g., capacitors, resistors).
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Use a variety of hand tools safely and effectively.
• Work within an Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA).
• Maintain excellent health & safety standards at all times.
