Assembly Technician (Electro-Mechanical)
Location: Sandwich

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team, specialising in the assembly of both simple and complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components. This role involves working with detailed engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions, and applying a high level of precision and quality at every stage of the build process.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components to a high standard, following engineering drawings and work instructions
* Safely use a range of hand and bench tools, including torque drivers
* Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
* Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers, both verbally and in writing
* Attend training as required to maintain and develop skills
* Participate in customer or supplier visits if required (a full driving licence and valid passport are necessary)

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in assembling simple and complex mechanical/electro-mechanical parts
* Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Confident using hand tools and applying adhesives (such as Loctite) where appropriate
* High attention to quality throughout the build process
* Computer literate (familiar with MS Office packages)
* Experience working with ESD procedures is an advantage but not essential
* Previous experience in a highly regulated industry (such as defence) is desirable but not required
