The Role

We’re looking for a talented Electronics and Embedded Engineer to join our team in London. You’ll play a key role in the design, development, and testing of next-generation spatial audio hardware systems. Working within a small, highly skilled R&D team, you’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, sound designers, and product specialists to bring innovative products from concept to production.

Key responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for audio processing and control systems.
  • Contribute to schematic capture, PCB design, and prototype assembly.
  • Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ firmware for real-time DSP, network, and control applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded systems with software and hardware platforms.
  • Support the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through to production and field deployment.
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Liaise with manufacturing partners to ensure design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) requirements are met.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to audio, embedded systems, and networking
Skills and experience required
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in embedded systems design using C/C++.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g. Altium, KiCad).
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M or similar microcontroller architectures.
  • Embedded Linux experience.
  • Understanding of digital and analog audio circuit design.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet and USB.
  • Proficient in debugging hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other lab tools.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a small, multidisciplinary team.
Desirable skills
  • Experience with real-time audio DSP or audio networking (e.g. Dante, AVB, AES67).
  • Knowledge of FPGA design (e.g. Verilog/VHDL).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for production.
  • 68000 Assembly language experience.
  • Passion for audio, music technology, or live sound applications.
