Overview

Electronic Test Engineer – Bolton – Permanent – Up to £45,000

Electronic Test Engineer required by a hugely successful engineering company, based in Bolton. The successful candidate will be responsible for test and component level repair of electronic products to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and test of electronic products throughout the product life cycle.
• Ensuring calibration of test equipment.
• Fault finding to component level and carrying out repairs.
• Carrying out root cause analysis.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Updating records and databases.
• Ensuring that finished products conform to quality standards.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications

• A background within a similar position gained within a manufacturing or engineering or equivalent environment.
• Qualified to HNC or equivalent in electronics engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience of fault finding to component level of electronic products.
• An understanding of continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
