V7 Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a UK-based engineering and manufacturing leader to appoint a newly created Electronic Design Engineer. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the UK, with salary £45,000–£50,000 plus bonus, 25 days holiday and a pension.

You will design new products, improve existing ones and work on interesting projects for high-profile clients, with guidance from a Senior Designer who will mentor you.

How does designing new products and solutions for a hugely established yet growing UK engineering and manufacturing business sound?

We’re a UK leader in our sector, with our products being used across the world in a range of industries. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a newly created Electronic Design Engineer role to strengthen our design team.

You’ll be designing new products, improving existing ones and working on some genuinely interesting projects for high-profile clients. You’ll also have the support of an experienced Senior Designer who can guide, train and mentor you.

And the best bit? It’s fully remote, so you can be based anywhere in the UK.

The person

We’re open on background, but you’ll need a solid electronic design foundation and a desire to keep developing.

We’re ideally looking for experience with:

• PCB design and layout
• Analogue and digital electronics
• Embedded C or C++ firmware

Our products span multiple sectors, so your industry background isn’t important. What matters is that you enjoy solving problems and getting stuck into new and existing designs.

The role

You’ll be involved in taking product requirements through to finished designs, including:

• Creating specifications and test plans
• Schematic and PCB design
• Analogue, digital, power and interface circuits
• Developing new products and improving existing ones

You’ll have plenty of opportunity to develop technically, with support from our Senior Designer and the wider engineering team.
