Job summary

Atomic Weapons Establishment is recruiting for an Electronic Design Apprentice. You will start by learning basic electronics through practical projects, then rotate through teams to see how electronics are used in our facilities. You will study part-time toward an HND and complete placements that lead to a Degree Apprenticeship.

You will gain hands-on experience in circuit design, testing, and fault-finding while developing core engineering skills in a secure, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• A level Maths and another STEM subject at grade C or above.
• 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English.
• Applicants must be British Nationals and aged 18+ by 31 August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Learn electronics basics through practical projects.
• Split placements across teams to understand electronics in practice.
• Attend college part-time to complete a Higher National Diploma (HND).
• Progress to final Apprenticeship End Point Assessment after completing the HND.
