Job summary

ZF Group in Shirley, UK is seeking an Electronic Component Engineer to manage the selection, qualification, and lifecycle of electronic components used in our Automotive products. You will collaborate with global teams to uphold design, reliability, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities include component evaluation, supplier engagement, lifecycle risk management, and ensuring adherence to REACH and RoHS regulations while using Siemens EDM or similar tools to manage data and approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components (active and passive).
  • Experience with component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of electronic suppliers and supply chain.
  • Familiarity with Siemens EDM or similar component management tools.
  • Good understanding of REACH and RoHS compliance regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with global cross functional teams.

  • Maintain component data, documentation, and standards within internal systems
  • Work with Siemens EDM tools (or equivalent systems) to manage electronic component data, approvals, and lifecycle management

The team is expected to grow rapidly in the near future to meet increasing global demands. We are looking for an Electronic Component Engineer to join the team and manage as well as support the selection, qualification, and lifecycle of electronic components used in our Automotive products.
