A leading defense organization in the UK is seeking an EW Systems Engineer to support weapon system design and verification. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a strong understanding of systems engineering methods. The ideal candidate must have experience in complex system development and be willing to obtain DV clearance. This position offers a hybrid working model and various employee benefits, including a company bonus and flexible leave.
Up to £55,000, depending on experience

Typically for this role, due to the nature of the work, you will need to work a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
MBDA UK Limited requires all employees to achieve the required medical and national security clearance for their role. Due to the nature of our business, this particular vacancy requires the applicant to be a British Citizen, or a Dual UK national with British citizenship, and capable of achieving a DV clearance level (which is managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team).
The EW Group supports activities on relevant weapon system and missile programmes, with specific responsibilities for the weapon system design and verification, system and equipment integration, RF system design, threat analysis, and modelling & simulation activities associated with EW capability and performance.
We are recruiting an EW Systems Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that various aspects of a Weapon System's EW capability (covering system design, integration, and the operational context / applicability) is fit for purpose, whilst also ensuring that the associated design is developed within the required timescales and budget. This Systems Engineer will be both the EW requirements authority and the EW System design lead for elements of a Weapon System, requiring collaboration with suppliers, customers, and a large range of internal and external stakeholders.
A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes.
Ideally, experience of Weapon System systems design and validation. However, experience of a complex system's product development is essential.
Experience working across the full engineering development lifecycle.
Experience of carrying out systems integration.
An understanding of Electromagnetic Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Support / Surveillance systems.
A strong record of delivery.
Experience in capability assessments and road-mapping.
Track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in requirements management toolsets (e.g. DOORS).
Candidates must hold, or be willing to apply for, DV clearance.
