Job summary

UNSW's School of Chemistry invites applications for a Research Associate to contribute to ARC Laureate project work on electrochemical aptamer-based sensors, developing electrodes and guiding translation toward commercialisation.

The role involves performing and supervising electrochemical experiments, documenting results, and preparing manuscripts for publication, with collaboration across researchers and industry partners at the Sydney campus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to develop electrochemical procedures for surface characterisation.
• Extensive experience in performing electrochemical measurements.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in the area of electrochemistry and biosensors.
• Perform and supervise experiments in electrochemical aptamer-based sensors.
• Write and maintain laboratory notebooks detailing all experiments conducted.
• Analyse and write results of experiments for publication in peer reviewed journals.
• Contribute to the preparation of research proposals and liaise with industry partners.
