Job summary

NEUTRA in West London is seeking a hands-on electro‑mechanical technician to build, test and commission complex automated equipment used in regenerative medicine manufacturing.

You’ll diagnose faults, read engineering drawings, and work with mechanical, electrical and robotic subsystems to improve assembly methods. This role offers real scope to influence equipment reliability and performance, with on‑site work and occasional supplier coordination.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, build, test or maintenance experience.
  • Practical engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with complex, low-volume equipment or automated systems.
  • Structured fault finding and root-cause analysis.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to commute to West London or relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, commission and diagnose complex automated equipment.
  • Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, including enclosures and robotic assemblies.
  • Install drives, actuators, PCBs and cable looms.
  • Read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Test components and assemblies; fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Identify root causes and rectify faults; onsite when needed.
  • Work with suppliers for non-conforming components.
  • Feed practical improvements back into assembly methods.
