Job summary

Portakabin Ltd is seeking an Electrician to perform skilled installation, refurbishment and fit-out of buildings, ensuring work is safe, efficient and high-quality. You will maintain a safe working environment and follow SOPs, RAMS and company standards to deliver projects on time and to budget.

The role requires practical trade experience, an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and the ability to read technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience and practical skills gained within a specific trade.
• Practical skills developed through technical training with supervised hands-on application.
• Industry recognised trade qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of site, yard, refurbishment and fit-out practices, including safe systems of work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as SOPs, RAMS and method statements.
• Proven ability to apply trade skills independently to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment in line with HSE standards.
• Carry out refurbishment, fit-out and installation activities per technical specs, SOPs and RAMS.
• Apply trade skills to complete tasks independently and escalate issues as needed.
• Work to refurbishment and fit-out timescales, contributing to cost-effective delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the team and support others when qualified to do so.

Job description

As an Electrician you will carry out skilled installation, refurbishment and fit-out of buildings, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, supporting on-time and cost-effective delivery for customers.

In this as Electrician, role you will be required to: Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment, in line with health, safety and environmental standards.

Carry out refurbishment, fit-out and installation activities in line with technical specifications, SOPs, RAMS and company standards, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality.

Apply trade skills and experience to complete tasks independently, solving problems where possible and escalating issues when required to maintain progress.

Work to agreed refurbishment and fit-out timescales, contributing to cost-effective and efficient project delivery.

Collaborate with colleagues across the team, supporting activities outside own trade or expertise where qualified or experienced to do so.
