Job summary

Vertu FM is seeking an Electrician - Testing and Inspection to cover the Southeast, East London, and surrounding areas. You will perform periodic inspection and testing, fixed-wire testing and EICRs across a regional portfolio of commercial and retail sites.

The role requires extensive experience in electrical testing, a current ECS Gold Card, and City & Guilds inspection qualifications. A competitive package includes a salary of £44,822 with LWA, a company vehicle, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements as listed: electrical apprenticeship/NVQ3, 18th Edition, ECS Gold Card, and periodic inspection/testing qualification.
• Experience level aligned with senior testing roles (see essential qualifications).
• CPD and BS 7671 knowledge kept up to date.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the region to commercial and retail sites for testing and inspection.
• Carry out fixed-wire testing and complete EICRs with accurate reporting.
• Identify faults and code observations per BS 7671.
• Perform remedial works and minor installations as needed.
• Complete testing and certification with documentation.
• Maintain CPD and up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 changes.
• Use digital certification systems and devices to record results.
• Ensure work is safe, professional and within client timescales.
