Electrical Fitter - Frequency Control Attendant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter (Frequency Control Attendant) to join our High Voltage (HV) Operations team. You will be responsible for monitoring and operating high voltage networks and associated equipment to ensure reliable 50Hz and 60Hz power supplies, supporting business continuity and operational safety.

This is a control room-based position focused on the operation of eight mechanically coupled motor‑generator frequency changers. You will work closely with the Shift Manager to maintain safe and efficient performance of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate frequency changer control panels.
  • Respond to equipment issues or alarms as directed by the Shift Manager.
  • Carry out regular system and equipment checks.
  • Assist with the safe operation of electrical plant and equipment.
  • Provide technical and operational support to the Shift Manager.
About You

You will have a strong background in electrical operations, with experience working in environments that involve control, instrumentation, or high voltage systems. You'll be confident following established procedures and maintaining high safety and performance standards.
