Job summary

ATA Recruitment are recruiting an Electrician / Facilities Engineer to manage the electrical infrastructure on a large manufacturing site in Leicestershire. This hands-on role involves fault-finding, maintenance and compliance across industrial electrical systems, with full training provided for site services.

The role supports HVAC, refrigeration and boilers, and requires reading electrical drawings and working with 3-phase distribution.

Qualifications

• A recognised Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Electrician / Electrical Engineer or Facilities Engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience with electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics clearly.
• Experience with 3-phase systems, motors and control panels.
• Good understanding of electrical safety and compliance in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
• Fault-find and diagnose electrical issues across commercial and industrial systems.
• Maintain and repair 3-phase systems, distribution boards, motors, control panels and associated equipment.
• Work with HV/LV electrical systems and site-wide electrical infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Install, modify and maintain electrical equipment and systems where required.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and compliance checks.
• Maintain accurate records and electrical documentation in line with current legislation.
• Support compliance with electrical safety regulations and site procedures.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure electrical work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Provide electrical support to wider site-services systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, boilers, steam and water-treatment equipment (full training given).
• Assist with maintaining critical site infrastructure and ensuring minimum disruption to production.
• Act as a key electrical contact for site audits, inspections and compliance requirements.
