Job summary

ECO Approach Ltd seeks a qualified Electrician to join our retrofit division for boiler wire-ups, heating control installations, and minor electrical works across domestic properties in the Northwest.

Responsibilities include fault finding, electrical testing, and ensuring compliance with current regulations. Candidates should have 2+ years’ experience, Level 3 electrical installation qualification, 18th Edition BS7671, own van and tools, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar electrical role.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Experience with domestic heating control wiring and boiler installations.
• Ability to fault-find and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete boiler wire-ups and electrical connections for heating system installations.
• Install and replace heating controls, programmers, thermostats, and smart heating systems.
• Carry out minor electrical works associated with heating and energy efficiency upgrades.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults and defects.
• Complete electrical testing and ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Conduct inspections and safety checks to ensure installations meet required standards.
• Accurately complete job reports, certification, and required documentation.

As we continue to grow our Retrofit Division from our Preston office, we are expanding our electrical services team to support both private and publicly funded energy efficiency projects throughout the Northwest.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Testing and Inspection qualification (2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent preferred) (Desirable)
• Experience with domestic heating control wiring and boiler installations.
• Ability to fault-find and work independently.
• Own van.
• Own tools.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
