Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Electrician with an ECS Gold Card for a long-term Oxford-based project. The role covers installation, maintenance and fault finding on temporary power infrastructure across major construction sites.

You will work on distribution systems, transformers, generators, battery storage, site lighting, and temporary cabins. The ideal candidate has strong health and safety knowledge and can work independently or in a team on multi-site sites through to 2027.

Qualifications

• ECS Gold Card required.
• IPAF licence required.
• Experience with temporary electrical installations preferred.
• Strong health and safety knowledge on construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and fault-find on temporary power and site services.
• Work on temporary power distribution systems, transformers, generators, battery storage and site lighting.
• Install and commission temporary cabins and welfare units.

Electrician (ECS Gold Card) - Oxford

Location: Oxford

Rate: £28 per hour

Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm (9 hours paid)

Start: ASAP

Duration: Long-term project through to 2027, with further opportunities across multiple local sites

Payment: UMBRELLA / CIS (No Ltd Company)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrician with a valid ECS Gold Card to join long-term projects in Oxford, working on temporary electrical and power infrastructure across major construction sites.

The role involves installation, maintenance and fault finding on a range of temporary power and site services, including:

• Temporary power distribution systems
• Transformers
• Generators
• Battery storage units
• Site lighting
• Temporary cabins and welfare units

Requirements

• ECS Gold Card
• IPAF licence
• Previous experience working on temporary electrical installations preferred
• Strong knowledge of health and safety on construction sites
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
