Job Summary
The Electrician supports facility operations by performing inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical and mechanical systems across office and occasional warehouse environments. This role involves a mix of preventive maintenance, small electrical projects, troubleshooting generators and switchgear, and completing daily PMs and work orders. The position requires a Journeyman certification, strong technical capability, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced facilities environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment across assigned facilities.
- Oversee general operation and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems.
- Perform installations, troubleshoot issues, and replace system components including motors, compressors, wiring, valves, switches, gauges, controls, pumps, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Maintain safe operation of all equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Review maintenance history to support proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide reliable and efficient service to internal customers.
- Apply broad knowledge of electrical and technical principles to solve routine issues.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with organizational values.
- Explain complex information in clear, straightforward terms.
- Participate in standardized processes and support team objectives.
- Support office‑building projects, occasional warehouse tasks, and minor electrical project work.
Required Experience
- High school or college diploma, GED, or trade school diploma.
- Journeyman certification required.
- Master electrician license as dictated by local codes.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience working independently.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to analyze solutions using technical expertise and judgment.
