Job summary

Riviera Electrical Limited is seeking an EV Installation Engineer to install, commission and maintain EV charging points across Devon and the South West. You will represent the company on-site and deliver high-quality installations with excellent customer service.

Role requires full UK driving licence, 18th Edition wiring regs, and EV charging qualifications (City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent). Opportunities for self-employed/subcontract roles and competitive pay are available.

Qualifications

• Experience installing EV charging points at domestic or commercial sites.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) experience.
• Ev charging qualification City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission EV charging equipment at domestic and commercial premises.
• Conduct site assessments and identify suitable cable routes and charger locations.
• Install containment systems, cabling, protective devices and related electrical infrastructure.
• Test and inspect completed installations and complete commissioning documentation.
• Diagnose faults and perform remedial works as required.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671, manufacturer requirements and health and safety procedures.

About the Role

As an EV Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging equipment at domestic and commercial properties.

You will be representing Riviera Electrical on-site, delivering high-quality installations while providing excellent customer service and ensuring all work complies with current industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of EV charging equipment at domestic and commercial premises.

Conducting site assessments and identifying suitable cable routes and charger locations.

Installing containment systems, cabling, protective devices, and associated electrical infrastructure.

Testing and inspecting completed installations.

Completing all certification and commissioning documentation accurately.

Diagnosing faults and carrying out remedial works where required.

Ensuring compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations, manufacturer requirements, and health and safety procedures.

Providing clear handovers and demonstrations to customers following installation.

Maintaining company standards of workmanship, professionalism, and customer care.

Full UK Driving Licence.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Experience in carrying out electrical EV installations.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

EV Charging Qualification (City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent).

Inspection and Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent).

ECS Gold Card.

Experience installing EV charge points, including:
