Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is seeking a qualified Electrician in Oxford to join our compliance services team. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with overtime/call-out opportunities. A company van and fuel card are provided for business travel.

You will perform routine testing and responsive repairs in customers' homes, travel within the Oxford area, and work to IEE wiring regulations with health and safety at the forefront. DBS check applies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within residential housing is ideal.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and 18th Edition (BS7671) with City & Guild 2391.
• Full driving licence with at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers' homes.
• Respond to repairs and works within planned teams according to work schedules and safety regulations.
• Maintain health and safety best practices on site.
• Record and report on status and condition of electrical services equipment using inspection sheets and certificates.
• Role includes licence and qualification checks.

Salary: £39,840.00 - £43,160.00 Per year

Calling all Electricians in Oxford! We're currently on the lookout for a qualified Electrician to join our compliance services team covering the Oxford area. What else do you need to know? This is a full-time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings! This role involves time on the road, so we will provide you with a van and fuel card. As an Electrician with SNG, we'll ask you to:

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in our customers' homes as part of our Electrical Team
• Undergo responsive repairs and works within our planned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and to SNG's established standard procedures.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure that appropriate satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Apply your knowledge and skills to record and report on status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check and essential qualifications check.

Qualifications

• Experience within a similar role, within a Residential/Housing sector is ideal
• Qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) 18th Edition (BS7671) City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.
• Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years' experience.
