Job summary

Attega Group in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Commercial or Industrial Electrician to join a growing facilities maintenance team. You will carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding across commercial sites, ensuring safety and compliance with BS 7671.

This role offers a permanent, full-time contract, a generous on-call rota, overtime rates, and a company van with fuel card.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and testing experience.
• ECS Gold Card in progress or held.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installations, maintenance, repairs and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Conduct inspection, testing and certification works (EICs, EICRs, Minor Works).
• Diagnose faults across distribution systems and control panels, including EV charging equipment.
• Work with site managers, engineers and other trades to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.
• Participate in On Call Rota (3–4 weeks per year).
• Document service reports, testing certificates and repair logs.

• Milton Keynes – Watford, M1 Corridor, but flexibility required to work in London/Home counties and occasional national
• Monday–Friday, 50 hour Permanent contract
• Overtime available (time & a half / double time)
• On-call rota: approx. 3–4 weeks per year

Are you an experienced Commercial or Industrial Electrician looking to progress your career within a well-established and growing facilities maintenance environment?

The main purpose of this role is to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding duties across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring electrical systems and infrastructure are operating safely, efficiently and in accordance with current regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out installations, maintenance, repairs and commissioning of electrical systems
• Conduct inspection, testing and certification works in accordance with BS 7671 regulations
• Complete EICs, EICRs and Minor Works Certificates to maintain compliance and accurate records
• Diagnose electrical faults across distribution systems, control panels and EV charging equipment, providing timely and effective solutions
• Work closely with site managers, engineers and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard
• Participate in the company’s On Call Rota, approximately 3–4 weeks per year
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing reports and updates on completed works and identified issues
• Document activities, including service reports, testing certification, repair logs and customer communication, to maintain accurate records and ensure traceability.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Commercial or Industrial Electrician
• ECS Gold Card (or currently working towards obtaining one within the next few months)
• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• C&G 2391 (or equivalent) – Inspection & Testing
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and testing experience
