Job summary

RS Electrical Installations Ltd is seeking a reliable Electrician to perform installations, testing and fault-finding across domestic and commercial sites throughout Leicestershire. You will ensure every job meets current regulations and company standards.

In this role you will carry out installation, maintenance, testing and remedial work while ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and health and safety requirements. A full UK driving licence and City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds electrical qualification.
• AM2 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant experience as an electrician.
• City & Guilds 2391 qualification (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations, maintenance, repairs and testing.
• Diagnose faults and carry out remedial work.
• Install and terminate cables, containment, accessories and distribution equipment.
• Conduct inspections and produce accurate testing certification.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and health and safety requirements.
• Read electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Identify and report defects, hazards and additional work.
• Complete job sheets, test results and site records accurately.
• Follow RAMS, permit-to-work systems and safe isolation procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site managers.

RS Electrical Installations Ltd is looking for a reliable Electrician / Approved Electrician to work across domestic and commercial sites throughout Leicestershire.

In this role, you will carry out installation, maintenance, testing and remedial work while ensuring every job meets current regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations, maintenance, repairs and testing.
• Diagnose faults and carry out suitable remedial work.
• Install and terminate cables, containment, accessories and distribution equipment.
• Conduct inspections and produce accurate testing certification.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and health and safety requirements.
• Read and work from electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Identify and report defects, hazards and additional work.
• Complete job sheets, test results and site records accurately.
• Follow RAMS, permit-to-work systems and safe isolation procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and other trades.
• Support apprentices and less-experienced electricians when required.
