Job summary

EDSB Compliance Solutions is seeking an experienced electrician to join our team working on electrical works including Solar installations. You will install, maintain and repair electrical systems across commercial and residential projects, adhering to BS7671 and 18th edition regulations.

The role requires testing, fault finding, planned and reactive maintenance, accurate documentation, and liaison with clients and other trades.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Electrical Qualification required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge required.
• Understanding BS7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
• Proven experience working on electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and inspection on installed systems.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced electrician to join our team working on various electrical works including Solar installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of various electrical systems and components and will also be required to have a understanding of fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control, CCTV systems and other related safety infrastructure.

This role requires a strong understanding of electrical regulations and safety standards within commercial, industrial and residential environments. Working in line with the current standards, you will also be expected to build professional relationships with our clients.

This role will include but not limited to the items below:

• Perform electrical testing and inspection on installed systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electronic and electrical components.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fire and security systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with British standards BS7671.
• Accurately complete job sheets, test certificates and documentation.
• Liaise with clients and other trades in a professional manner.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• ECS Card/IPAF/PASMA.

Required Skills:

Successful candidates will be required to undergo BS7858 Employment Screening and an Enhanced DBS check.

Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break.
