Job summary

Waingap Contracts Limited is seeking an experienced Electrician in Leeds to join their growing team. The role involves electrical installation, maintenance and testing across commercial and industrial sites, with travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, a full UK driving licence, and experience installing fire alarm systems.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work away from home when required.
• Previous experience working as a qualified Electrician.
• Experience installing and commissioning fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection and testing work across a range of commercial and industrial sites.
• Install, fault-find and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Complete inspection and testing in accordance with current regulations.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs safely.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
• Complete relevant job sheets, inspection reports and certification accurately.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and colleagues on site.
• Travel to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays and working away from home when required.

Due to continued expansion, our client is looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Electrician to join their growing team.

With an hourly rate of £20-20 per hour (more if you are highly experienced) + use of a company vehicle and a great workplace culture, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing construction business based in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities

• Willingness to work away from home when required.
• Experience installing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
• P.V. and E.E.S.S. qualified.
