Time-Served Electrician / Control Technician

Location: Dumfries

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hrs/week - Mon to Fri, 7:30am-3:30pm)

About the Role

We're looking for a time-served electrician to join the maintenance team at a global manufacturing site in Dumfries. You'll be involved in fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a range of production and plant equipment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
  • Electrical maintenance and fault-finding on production machinery
  • Planned and preventative maintenance
  • Support breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Work safely and to current electrical standards
  • Assist apprentices and work closely with other trades
What You'll Need
  • Time-served electrician with a recognised apprenticeship
  • Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of 3-phase systems and variable speed drives (AC/DC)
  • PLC and SCADA knowledge (Siemens / Allen Bradley) - training available
  • Flexible approach - willing to cover overtime, shifts, or weekends when needed
